Management Team

The Sponge team comprises of 12 people including instructional designers, developers, designers and project managers. Our main creative team is based at our Plymouth office at the Tamar Science Park. They are led by our management team below.

Louise Pasterfield - Managing Director

Louise is the Managing Director of Sponge UK. With over 20 years experience in learning and design, Louise has worked on many projects in the e-learning sector. She has expertise in overseeing and advising on complex multi-disciplinary projects to very tight deadlines working with a wide range of public and private sectors clients in the UK and International markets.

Martin Jones - Head of Instructional Design

Martin heads up our instructional design team and is committed to design excellence, innovation and high standards of production. With over 20 years experience in instructional design and leading teams, he has in-depth knowledge of the evolving technology. Originally a teacher and trainer, he has a sound understanding of teaching methodologies and motivating learners to learn by giving them challenging and enjoyable tasks which are essential in the e-learning environment.

Kate Pasterfield - Account Director

Kate's skill is interpreting the learning design and translating it an effective e-learning programme. She is a multi-disciplined thinker, making the call on appropriate creative treatments and use of technologies, media and assets needed to direct the team through delivery. Within the constraints and possibilities of budgets and technology, Kate works closely with clients, subject matter experts, instructional designers and graphic designers and interactive developers to realise the highest quality output for each client.

Alex Stewart - Senior e-Learning Designer

Alex is responsible for the overall creative approach for projects and oversees our design team. He has excellent learning design skills and is experienced working with large public and private sector organisations ensuring e-learning programmes are delivered to high standards.

John is a technology supported learning specialist. He helps clients incorporate e-learning into their existing learning mix - everything from developing an e-learning strategy to successfully combining e-learning with conventional learning interventions. This expertise, combined with his wide experience of learning design and delivery, means that he has some unique capabilities in developing innovative but successful approaches to e-learning.
